Original Works

Welcome to my original works page! Here you'll find innformation on my personal projects. These are stories that I am not intending to pursue professional publishing, but would still like to write/illustrate and potentially self publish (I.E. post online). Each project will have a page that contains info on the world/story/lore, and one page on the characters. Character pages will likely have links to Toyhouse, which I use to catalog characters and keep track of their artwork.

Most of my projects are either xenofiction or fantasy, but some might be both! I frequently use anthropomorphic animals in my projects, so if you're afraid of furries... watch out! I generally split my projects into 2 groups- stories and universes. Stories follow a main character (or characters), have a clear plotline/narrative, and have a set beginning and end, whereas universes have a world and characters, but no linear narrative, and characters might have nothing to do with each other. There is some crossover between these two, such as with Heaven's Edge, which is much more like a universe, but has a linear narrative story within it (which I do consider the "main" story). God's Final Daybreak is another exception— it has a clear linear story, but the spotlight is shared between 20 characters, each considered "main" in their own right.

While I don't intend on fully realizing most of these stories (I.E. they will never have a finished book or comic or whatnot), I do actively work on them, and some I do want to bring into reality! This site is meant to strike a happy balance between the two, where I can flesh out their worlds and stories, while not having to actually write a whole book that I don't think would turn out good if I tried.

Below are mini introductions to each project. Feel free to read through them, or jump right to the project pages themselves with the right sidebar!

Starsight

The Amber Creek Valley is home to many kinds of animals, from cats to foxes to griffins... and dragons. But the dragons live here no longer. A young cat named Snapdragon and his adoptive wolf sister Paige can barely remember the dragons, so they go off of the stories that their father Cedar tells them. The dragons, with all of their magic and might, ruled over the valley, keeping the peace between the various animal factions, until one day, they all disappeared without a trace. Cedar says he remembers watching their shadows fly away in the dead of night. Nobody in the valley knows where they went or why they left.

The king and queen of the valley bore no heirs, so instead, they had adopted three wolves as their sons- Cobalt, Kipper, and Camper. After the dragons' departure, Prince Cobalt took the throne and did his best to ease the worry of his citizens. Snapdragon remembers Cobalt as King more than he does the dragons, until Cobalt, too, disappears without a trace. This time, the valley truly is in an uproar. Why have their leaders abandoned them? Does the throne even hold any value anymore? It's every faction for itself as the animals scramble to draw lines in the sand of who's on who's side.

Nearly one year has passed since Cobalt's disappearance. Snap and Paige, an inseparable pair of troublemakers, hear rumors of the wolf princes Kipper and Camper flitting around this side of the valley, and so they sneak away to try and find them. What ensues is an adventure of mystery, betrayal, and discovery as the two siblings are pulled further and further into the world of dragons and princes. But even the high stone cliffs of the valley aren't enough to protect from the world outside...

Starsight follows three protagonists- Snapdragon the cat, Paige the wolf, and Camper the wolf prince. The three of them bear the magic of Starsight- where dragons have magic from the Sun and the Moon, other creatures have magic from the Stars. This angers the Sun and the Moon, though, turning them against the Stars; thus, turning dragons against all other creatures...

Ideal format: Young adult book series

God's Final Daybreak

Forced to flee her kingdom after her parents are executed by military forces, young heir Juno and her three closest companions leave behind the kingdom they've served and loved their whole lives. They stumble through the wilds, with Juno desperate to ask the kingdom of the north for aid in reclaiming her rightful place on the throne. However, they fall captive to the Vanguard, the mysterious, dangerous group of ungoverned nomadic peoples living in the lands between the two kingdoms. The Vanguard claims that Juno seeking the throne will mean ruin for not only herself, but all the lands—kingdoms and wilds alike. The longer Juno stays with the Vanguard, the longer she begins to question herself, and the more she picks up on the fact that everyone seems to know something she doesn't.

God's Final Daybreak follows a series of interconnected narratives, all leading to the Vanguard and a mysterious prophecy about the fate of the lands and its peoples. There are 20 characters who share the spotlight!

Ideal format: Comic or illustrated story
